Do It Anyways, OK?

Hello Everyone!

After celebrating the launch of my blog into the Universe, I happily floated off to sleep with dwreams of Dwonald Dwuck. But I digress… I finally completed something I wanted to do for myself. YEEESSS!!! It was amazing to actually see my blog LIVE! I know that the 15 views are mostly my own but still… You have to start somewhere right?!

Once you begin something, it’s best to immerse yourself in it to keep the momentum going. My next goal (are you ready for this Universe?) is to post something new everyday over the next 10 days. Ok, I said it! Now that I’ve put my intention out into the Universe, I will feel a heck of a lot more accountable to follow through with it. Besides, the ingredients for my posts are all up there in my head, I just need to put a recipe together. It might be easier said than done but I WANT to do this and I know I CAN do it. The biggest hurdle I foresee is overcoming the naysayers in my life….You know who you are!

Why do others (family, friends, spouses, bf’s, gf’s, etc), make us doubt yourselves, make us question our choices, and think they somehow know what is best for us? Why do we let them? This is the magical question that has been an ongoing issue for most of my life. It’s called People-Pleasing! Mmm Hmm! This need to please generally starts young from low self-esteem and will continue to overshadow your life until you take action. So…

DO IT ANYWAYS! Follow through on all the dreams you have in your head! Whether it’s writing a blog on a topic your family will not appreciate or understand. Changing careers for less pay if it makes you happy. Moving across the world because your gut is telling you to take the risk. Enrolling in circus performer classes, tap dancing, opera singing, even underwater basket weaving classes… You get the picture.

Life is short! Don’t wait for the would haves, could haves, should haves… There is so much we are each capable of achieving in our lifetime but the amounts of days given to us is limited. I have let my fear of criticism and rejection hold me back from exploring my potential for years. How about you? Let’s take a chance and open some new doors of light on our journey. In doing so, I am certain that the Universe will shower each of us with a tribe of like-minded people to support and guide us forward. Believe in yourselves, OK? We got this!

Be well and stay Lit with Joy! 🔥
