What does forgiveness have to with the Holidays? Everything! In my opinion it matters more this year than any other.
To be honest, I was off my game today. The anxiety of waiting for Covid test results and worriying over my unwell child left me critical of someone important to me.
Luckily this person was able to see through my overthinking and irrational mind and offered me understanding and forgiveness. Have you gone through something similar? Were you able to forgive quickly or expect forgiveness just as fast? Its’ not always so simple, is it?
I found the quote below which really resonated with me:
And this is what matters most! Our relationships! We may have stressful days, disappointing and frustrating days. We may have too many bills to pay, hours to work, mouths to feed, and to-do lists to complete. Somedays, we may suddenly say something unkind or act unfairly towards a friend or family member. Forget your ego! Be genuine, an apology can go a long way!
It’s during these times to remember the Spirit of Christmas!
May the spirit of forgiveness this Holiday Season keep you all Lit With Joy!
Much Love & Light!
Joyce 💛
